All four master’s students supervised this semester successfully defended their Ing (~MEng/MSc) theses
Proud moment to share: all four master’s theses Zdeněk Hurák supervised this semester have just been successfully defended – all graded A or B, with one even nominated by the committee for the Dean’s Award. All four tackled real-world problems – three drew on data and consulting from industry partners, the fourth on experience from our student electric racing team. Congratulations to:
- David Krňávek: Optimal Control for Recuperation of Regenerative Braking Energy in Electric Public Transport Vehicles
- Radek Chládek: Modeling of a Ventilation Unit with Heat Recovery
- Pavel Svoboda: Modeling and Control of a District Heating Network for Combined Heat and Power Production
- Richard Ciglanský: Numerical Optimal Control for Minimum Lap Time
Thank you all for the great collaboration — wishing you the very best as you move on to what’s next!
